Life lessons from a 15 yr old girl who grew up playing hockey with boys

The youth sports world has segregated boys and girls. Some girls are saying no to this and making traditionally male teams co-ed. Are you curious about how this shapes them as athletes? In this video, I interview accomplished hockey player Katie Chan who played hockey on a predominantly boys team from age 4 to 13. At the age of 14 she committed to the exclusive Colgate University home to one of the top hockey programs in the world. Katie shares the highs and lows of her time playing with the boys and the life lessons she’s carried forward.
