I am Annelisa Dey Thomas, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCPA), and I hold an MA in Counselling Psychology. My career has been a lifelong dedication to supporting disenfranchised communities. After 25 years in the field of public safety, I've had the privilege of helping individuals through some of their most challenging moments, including crises, depression, panic, toxic relationships, trauma, stress, anger, grief, and issues related to organizational health and wellness.

My approach is client-centered, with a focus on guiding people through their journeys while creating a safe, non-judgmental, and comfortable space for them to explore their challenges. I come to each session with an open mind, ready to learn and actively engage with my clients. Working with a diverse group of people from various cultures, I strive to be culturally safe and sensitive in my approach. I tailor my therapeutic approach collaboratively to meet each client's unique goals and expectations. Some of the modalities I frequently use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Self-Compassion, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Outside of my work, you'll often find me cheering on one of my three kids at the basketball court, soccer field, or a dance performance.
